A native Dallasite and graduate of nearby Ursuline Academy, Alison originally intended to become an accountant after earning her bachelor’s degree, but she quickly found her way into the insurance world.
After college, she spent a decade working in Austin before she returned home to North Texas, and in 2007, she took an Account Manager position at Waldman Bros; she eventually became Manager of Financial Services. It was at Waldman Bros that she would start a professional relationship with Scott Cohen, eventually joining his team at CD Wealth Management as an Underwriting/Case Design Specialist in July 2016.
“I love it here because we’re always evolving, always changing things to try to make it better. We’re always looking for ways to make the experience better for our clients and our employees.”
Alison goes above and beyond to meet clients’ needs — and exceeds their expectations. Whether she’s preparing proposals, building strategies or developing creative coverage solutions, Alison helps clients navigate the underwriting process with ease. With great expertise and a commitment to customer service, Alison delivers a frictionless process for clients who are considering life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care and annuities.
“I like the broad scope of helping clients,” she said. “I like trying to help them get the best policy at the best price. And we’re there from A to Z. We’re not just there to get the policy and then go away.”
Another reason Alison enjoys being part of the CD Wealth family is the importance the company places on charitable giving. CD Wealth Management not only donates to many different charities but it also allows each employee to select a charity and donates on their behalf.
“This is an annual tradition that truly makes me proud to be part of CD Wealth,” said Alison, who gravitates toward charities for veterans in honor of her grandfather, an admiral who fought in World War II.
Alison grew up in a large, close family, and in her spare time she enjoys all things culinary, re-learning piano and watching her nieces’ and nephew’s games in addition to helping her favorite charities and foundations.
